Athletic Training
Our Athletic Trainers are essential healthcare professionals who collaborate with physicians to prevent, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate injuries and medical conditions among student-athletes. They provide immediate emergency care, develop injury prevention programs, and guide students through therapeutic interventions to ensure safe participation in sports. Additionally, they educate athletes, coaches, and parents on health and safety practices, contributing to the overall well-being and performance of the athletic community.
INJURY PREVENTION
Athletic Trainers focus on injury prevention to keep athletes healthy and performing at their best.We implement strength and conditioning programs to enhance physical resilience, conduct movement screenings to identify potential risk factors, and provide preventative care to address weaknesses before they lead to injury. By combining these strategies with education and proper training techniques, we help athletes reduce their risk of injury and maintain peak performance throughout their season.
EVALUATION
Our Athletic Trainer plays a crucial role in evaluating injuries to ensure proper care and recovery. We perform on-site assessments for acute injuries, chronic conditions, and concussions, allowing for quick and accurate diagnosis or referral of athletic injuries. By using specialized tests and clinical expertise, we determine the severity of an injury and develop a treatment plan to support a safe return to sport.
REHABILITATION
Our rehabilitation program is designed to help student-athletes recover safely and efficiently. We provide web-based rehabilitation protocols for easy access to personalized recovery plans. Our in-office rehabilitation equipment and on-site weight room allow for guided strength and conditioning exercises. Additionally, we specialize in manual therapy techniques and Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) to enhance mobility, reduce pain, and improve recovery outcomes.
EMERGENCY CARE
Our Athletic Trainer is trained to provide immediate and effective emergency care for sports-related injuries. We are equipped with advanced life support tools to handle critical situations on-site, ensuring quick response to medical emergencies. From stabilizing injuries to managing life-threatening conditions, our Athletic Trainer helps protect student-athletes and ensures a safe environment for sports participation.
RECOVERY
Recovery is a key part of keeping athletes healthy and performing at their best. We offer a variety of recovery tools, including a whirlpool, NormaTec boots, foam rollers, and hot/ice packs to help reduce soreness and promote healing. Our goal is to support each athlete’s recovery process, aiding their return to play feeling strong and ready to compete.
