Fairmont Esports League of Legends team faced off against St John Bosco in their final match of the season to decide the outright winner of the lower division bracket. While Fairmont has played St John Bosco three other times this season, the two schools met again to square off what is budding to be a lively rivalry.
Fairmont's esports team has gone even with Bosco throughout the season, improving every match and pushing themselves to new limits in each match. Beginning the match with the season series with 2-1 in the favor of Bosco, Fairmont was primed to even up the score.
Some highlights of the game include a come-from-behind team fight, in which Fairmont won the fight and was able to secure the Baron Nashor objective, a powerful enhancement to the team's abilities. Ken Yu was our match MVP for the Fairmont side, tallying a whopping 19 eliminations in the match and leading our team out in front.
While our players strived to win and pushed to the very end, at the end of the day, it just wasn't Fairmont's day. Bosco won the match 2-0, and the season series 3-1. That concludes the season for Fairmont Esports, who finish the season at 6-6 on the year.
